Since I’m a huge fan of Director Joseph Kahn, and I’ll probably be watching this video a couple dozen more times in the coming days, I figured I’d post it here so I don’t have to also see the idiotic comments that come along with videos involving technology on YouTube.
Disregarding the nature of the commercial for a moment, it’s great to see an evolution of his directorial style. A style that made Detention one of my favorite movies of last year (or ever).
I think this is a great piece with a lot of beautiful subtly working in its favor, so I’m going to continue to reverse engineer the making of this video until I need to go to sleep.
Tempe student arrested after apparent Twitter prank
…a police spokeman, said the 15-year-old sophomore posted an item on Twitter on May 16, which was senior prank day, saying, “Marcos senior prank: Plant C4 in the toilets all across the Tempe Union High School District.”
…
The student told police he heard about C4, a plastic explosive, through the Call of Duty video game and only meant it as a joke…
This. This is where I grew up. Yes, I’m embarrassed to admit that.
Dell is selling Windows 8 tablets on QVC. The host mentioned it comes with a year of free tech support which is good because “Windows 8 is a big change for people”.
